"ArrozCaldoForTheHeart"Arroz caldo is a hearty Filipino congee/"lugaw" and topped with crunchy fried garlic. The result is a quick, comforting bowl that's a perfect rainy time meal (and rivals chicken soup for its ability to sooth those suffering from a cold). Like this famous blend of culture dish, this blog aims to share Christian Living inputs such as insights or opinions, original stories and the like from the compilations of the projects of his students for the past decade. May these readings sooth the sunken soul, tired heart and stressed body.

"Patty"

I was in 3rd year High School and I've had a crush on this girl since grade 7. I didn't  really talk to her because I was shy. It was almost JS prom and I still didn't have any partner. It was on my mind to ask her to go with me to prom but I felt like she would refuse to go with me. But I had no one else to ask so I was brave enough to ask her. I prepared for the promposal for a long time and I put so much effort. The day came when I was gonna ask her to go to the prom with me. I went to her and she was even with her friends while I was carrying a bouquet of rose and lots of chocolates. Then I started to talk "I've had a crush on you since we were still grade 7. Now I'm gonna ask you, will you go to prom with me?". After about 10 seconds she replied "I'm sorry but I already have a date to prom". I would never forget that day. It was the saddest day of my life. And that's how my love story started.

A year has passed and I tried to forget that day. I was shocked when I saw the classlists before the school year started. I saw her name in my section. But when the school year started we became really good friends. We got to know more about each other and we were just really really close friends. We always hang together and talk to each other. We planned to go to same school in college so we could still be together. Luckily, we both passed the entrance exam in Ateneo and our friendship grew deeper.

After a while we realized that we had feelings for each other. When I knew that, I started courting her. And after 1 year in college she finally agreed to be my boyfriend. When we were in college we loved each other. When we finished college, we worked and tried to earn money. We stayed together and continued to love each other. And when we had enough money we planned to get married. After 2 years me and Patty got married and live a happy life.
