"Ligaw"

 "MY PROJECTED IDEAL MARRIED LIFE PROJECT"

Her name is Alex Martin, the star of the softball team in our school. Yup! That's the girl I'm in love with. She had her reputation as the school's perfect student because of her athleticism, looks, achievements in academics, and most importantly, she displays a good behavior. But the only thing I wish she didn't have back then was her boyfriend:( sad right? But I still fell for her even if she was in a relationship. Philippe Gatmaytan, used to be her boyfriend. He was my teammate in basketball and we were super close. We were like the dynamic duo in basketball. We dominated the team (just saying). And that was another sad thing in my life :( my best friend was in a relationship with the girl I love. It's like "bro code" dude. Ok time to start my love story!

First day of school: "Wow. Back to school already! Feels like just yesterday I was watching Chrissy Costanza's concert" I told Phil. "Yeah man! Don't tell me you still didn't find any girl  for you last summer!" As he teased me. "Actually I saw this girl from the softball team. She's very pretty and she seems nice" I replied. "Then make her "ligaw" what are you waiting for?! Wait... What's her name?" He asked. "Alex-" The first bell rang and I wasn't able to answer his question completely. We both went to our classroom because we were classmates.

First period went by very slowly for me. Second period was okay. Third period was my favorite! Sir Cloyd is super cool and nice. He's the smartest and coolest teacher you'll ever meet. Sixth period was chem with Sir Ton and eight period was my PEMA. After class we had training, Phil and I walked going to the bathroom to change. While we were walking, we passed by Alex and her teammates because they also had training. Phil went to her and hugged her and he carried the bag of Alex going to the girls bathroom. We were with Alex and her teammates while walking then suddenly one of her teammates went to me and asked me if I liked someone. "Yeah! I think it's Alex Smit!" Phil shouted. It was so awkward for me because she was there with us and they said that she likes me. Phil thought that I like Alex Smit because I only told him the first name and I wasn't able to tell him the last name because of the bell. After training: "How'd you know Alex M.?" I asked Phil. "Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you, she's my bæ, my girlfriend". When I heard those words come out of his mouth, my heart started beating super fast and I was like super mad inside but I didn't make it obvious. "Since when?" I asked another question because I was curious that I wanted to know everything about them. "We started hanging out during summer. Why?" Phil replied. "Nothing I'm just curious" I answered. After that conversation, his parents picked him up and left school. I went to SDF to chill. When I entered the office I saw her alone doing her projects and she seemed stressed. I didn't know what to do. But after how many minutes of thinking, I decided to go to her and offer to help her with her projects and try not to act weird. "Hey Alex! You need help?" I asked as my voice cracked. I was so embarrassed. Maybe it cracked because I was nervous. She started laughing and told me to sit beside her so that I can help her with her project. From then on, we became closer. We would always hangout as friends when there's time and text often.

Then one day, as I was walking going to pav for my training, I saw Alex sitting on the bench outside the CPA. I was gonna go over to say hi until I realized that she was crying. I came to ask why. "Philippe and I are no longer together," she said. "Why what happened". I asked. "Ok, so this what happened. I was in town with my teammates. We went to fullybooked to buy a book then we went to 3rd floor then I saw Phil clinging onto some other girl. He saw me looking at them but he didn't even approach me and explain to me all that. So yeah that's pretty much it" she told me while crying. After she told me what happened I started comforting her and took her for a walk around school. Before she left school, she thanked me for everything that I have done for her and hugged me. I skipped training for her.

Fast forward to Valentine's day, she was sitting alone in the canteen and I was about to hand her the bouquet I bought for her but at the same time, Philippe was about to approach her as well. Alex saw both of us then she stood up to say something but before she could do that, Philippe stopped her and apologized to her. "I'm just here to apologize. I admit I was a jerk and you deserve someone better. Prince here can treat you the way you deserve to be treated. I'm sorry for everything. I hope we stay friends". Then he left. Now it's my turn to say something. " Settle down with me. Cover me up. Cuddle me in. Lie down with me and hold me in your arms. And your heart's against my chest, your lips pressed to my neck

I'm falling for your eyes, but they don't know me yet and with a feeling I'll forget, I'm in love now". Then the guitar started playing and I started singing "kiss me" by ed sheeran. What I said was part of ed sheeran song. After that I gave her the bouquet and we hugged each other. After 10 years, I proposed to her and we got married. And that's my love story with Alex:)
