"ArrozCaldoForTheHeart"Arroz caldo is a hearty Filipino congee/"lugaw" and topped with crunchy fried garlic. The result is a quick, comforting bowl that's a perfect rainy time meal (and rivals chicken soup for its ability to sooth those suffering from a cold). Like this famous blend of culture dish, this blog aims to share Christian Living inputs such as insights or opinions, original stories and the like from the compilations of the projects of his students for the past decade. May these readings sooth the sunken soul, tired heart and stressed body.

"Dani..."

By: Jun Lim 9-B

It was the summer after my high school. I have went to a trip to Singapore where I met the most beautiful woman I've seen. I didn't know what to do after but if I didn't ask her now, I would lose the chance of my life. Surprisingly, I did it and got her phone number with the most awkward introduction ever. My introduction was "H-h-hello there ummm me I mean I have seen you and umm I want to talk to you like a friend... Can I have your number?" (Looking stupid with a stupid face).

The next day, I have the temptation to call her just once so we can meet up. "R-r-ring......R-r-ring" "Hello, Dani speaking,"she said."Umm can we meet up somewhere l-l-like in a cafe,"I said."Sure,"she said.

In the cafe, we were just talking about our life. Suddenly, I asked a weird question if she had a boyfriend. She said she didn't have one. I don't know why but I asked if I can be her boyfriend. Luckily, she said yes. After few days of dating, I noticed I have to go back home to Korea tomorrow. I knew I had to either choose my hometown or my everlasting love.         In the end, I stayed at Singapore just for Dani. After a year of staying in Singapore me and Dani thought of living in Korea so we can marry. When we arrived, we married at a Catholic Church in South Korea (called Cheonjugyo). After that, we bear a son and a daughter.

I conclude that I think love is important in every way. Even though it's not a romantic love I think each individual needs love in their life. Also, the most important love we must receive is parental love because our parents is the first thing we see after we are born.

  1. This story is a good example because of this. This story shows how true love can really bring people together. This story also shows how two people can really stay together through true love. This story also shows how true commitment through one another can really make your relationship prosper. This story overall shows how you can have a perfect relationship through the guidance of God.

  2. I like this story because, even in simple ways, the story was able to show what relationships go through. It shows how it all starts without getting too far from the real purpose of the story which is to show a relationship between a boy and a girl. A lot of relationships become a success while others don't. But by this, it shows that relationships can also end up well and that love prevails most of the time. People can do crazy things just for love but of course, we should also give importance to God. He is the one to guide us through all our problems. I also like how it shows that we should prioritize our family first before anything else.

  5. This story is interesting and realistic because this story shows how hard it is for boys to talk to the girls they like. I think the most important statement mentioned is the importance of parental love.
